| The thirty-seventh annual Tales of Cape Cod, Inc. Lecture series (and Dessert Socials) will be held at the Olde Colonial Courthouse, Rendezvous Lane and Route 6A, in the Village of Barnstable. These lectures are held on Tuesday evenings starting on July 1st and continuing through August 26th. Additional lectures are held in June and October, with an annual dinner in November. A well attended lecture was held during Maritime Week, entitled "Whaling Heroes of Cape Cod and the Islands" with author Marc Songini. Another lecture will be during Heritage Week, June 10th, 7:30 p.m. The topic will be "Remembering the Home Front in World War II" with historian Lynne Horton. Last year, over 500 people attended our lectures, including re-enactments of the 1774 "March of the Body of the People" for Barnstable 5th grade students.
